Asha Negi is gearing up for the release of the much-anticipated show ‘Criminal Justice Season 4’. For the unversed, the actress has been an integral part of the showbiz for over a decade. After making a name for herself in television shows like Pavitra Rishta, Bade Achhe Lagte Hain, and many more, she has now been impressing the audience with her projects on OTT. She will star in Criminal Justice Season 4 as Roshni Saluja, who is murdered.

In an exclusive interview with News24, Asha talks about her experience of working in Criminal Justice Season 4 and starring alongside seasoned actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Surveen Chawla, and more.

Sharing her response to joining an established series like Criminal Justice in the fourth season, Asha says, “I didn’t feel any pressure but I was a little nervous and excited.”

While talking about doing an intense role in Criminal Justice Season 4, she shares, “I was very nervous because all of them are like such good actors. So doubts were there, but no hesitation. The director and the entire team were so good. They made me feel so comfortable. And even the actors, everybody was very supportive.”

Sharing her experience of working with seasoned actors like Pankaj Tripathi, Surveen Chawala and Zeeshan Ayyub, she adds, “They all were so easy to be around and to perform with. And I think that is so beautiful. Their work speaks for themselves.”

Recalling doing a tough scene with Zeeshan Ayyub, she reveals, “I remember this one time when I had to perform a scene with Zeeshan. We were not supposed to do it on that day, but because of some technical issues, we had to perform it the same day. And I was not prepared. I remember it was a very difficult scene. Zeeshan is so good and the team was very supportive. Earlier, I was very nervous and kept thinking about how am I going to do it. But then when we started, I think it was easier for us.”

“I was very proud of myself that day. Oh my god, what fun it was. It was one of those days when I came back home so energised. And then I started calling up my friends and telling them this happened. I was so nervous earlier, but then I did it, and it was so good,” she adds.

Directed by Roshan Sippy and produced by Sameer Nair, Criminal Justice Season 4 stars Pankaj Tripathi, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Surveen Chawla, Khushboo Atre and Asha Negi in the lead roles. It will release on JioHotstar on May 29, 2025.
