Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma and former Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli welcomed their first child, daughter Vamika Kohli, last year in January. Virat, who was on a tour to Australia at that time, had decided to take a paternity leave from the remaining three matches of the Australia Test series after the first match. The doting husband had returned to India to be beside his wife who was about to give birth to their baby.

Several netizens had lauded the cricketer for paving the way for others. However, Virat Kohli’s decision of taking a paternity leave had also left a section of the internet enraged. He was slammed for ignoring his responsibility towards the nation. Now, Anushka has reacted to Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal’s decision of taking paternal leave.

Earlier today, Twitter announced that CEO Parag Agrawal is taking “a few weeks” of paternity leave for the birth of his second child. Anushka Sharma, wife of Virat Kohli, has lauded the decision.  Reacting to the news, Anushka wrote, “About time this is normalised.”

Anushka and Virat, fondly known as Virushka, tied the knot in 2017. They were blessed with daughter Vamika on January 11. “We are thrilled to share with you that we have been blessed with a baby girl this afternoon. We thank you all for your love, prayers and good wishes. Anushka and the baby are both healthy and we are feeling beyond blessed to start this new chapter of our lives,” read their statement. The celebrity couple keeps their daughter away from the spotlight but often shares adorable glimpses of her, without revealing her face.

Meanwhile, on the work front, Anushka was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan’s 2018 movie Zero, along with Katrina Kaif. She then bankrolled OTT projects like the Amazon Prime Video web series Pataal Lok and Netflix movie Bulbbul. Now, the diva is all set to mark her acting comeback.

She will be seen in former captain of India national women’s cricket team Jhulan Goswami’s biopic. The Netflix film has been titled Chakda Xpress.
