And recently, her step-daughter Esha Verma went viral on social media with her shocking claims about Rupali’s personal life. Esha called Rupali “psychotic” and “cruel hearted” and also accused her of destroying their family’s happiness to fulfil her own interests.
Amid the controversy, Anupamaa producer Rajan Shahi, has come out to support her. Taking to his Instagram handle, Rajan posted a picture with her, alongside a long note that read, Shahi wrote “Rupali, you inspire all of us each day, every moment, at dkp/shahi productions with your hard work, dedication, talent, honesty, integrity, and humility. as Anupamaa, you have created history- A benchmark and landmark that very few can reach or achieve.”
However, it did not go well with the netizens, who slammed Shahi of “white-washing” Rupali’s image in the public eye. They have also accused him of using his influence to shield her. These allegations have further intensified the scrutiny that Rupali has been facing, ever since she sent out a legal notice to her step-daughter.
