Not all star kids want to make a mark in the field of acting or showbiz just like their parents or relatives. Some also chose their different path and try to excel in the same. So is the case with Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan’s granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda. For the unversed, Navya is Big B’s daughter Shweta Bachchan Nanda and Nikhil Nanda’s daughter.

Looking at Navya’s social media game and fashion choices, many thought that she will enter the showbiz world just like her grandparents and maternal uncle and aunt. But, Navya has other plans. Navya has stepped into the field of social work and has co-founded Aara Health. It is a women’s health platform aiming to build awareness and services around feminine health in India. She is also the founder of project Naveli, which focuses on four main areas including education, economic independence, domestic violence, and mental and physical health.

Apart from her social cause, Navya is also known for speaking her heart and mind out. Be it her statement on the ripped jeans controversy or her reaction to trolls, Navya has made sure that her voice is heard. Today, we are looking at 4 statements by Navya regarding various things that caught everyone’s attention. So, without further ado, let’s take a look at them below:

Navya Naveli Nanda-quoted statements that deserve your attention

Navya Naveli Nanda on Uttarakhand CM’s ‘ripped jeans’ statement

Uttarakhand’s CM Tirath Singh Rawat, in March 2021, expressed his thoughts over women wearing ripped jeans and said they cannot provide the right environment for children at home. Navya took to social media and shared a note that reads, “Change your mentality before changing our clothes 🙂 because the only thing shocking here is the message comments like this send to the society,” followed by angry emojis. She also shared another note that reads, “I’ll wear my ripped jeans. Thank you. And I’ll wear them proudly.”

Difference between ‘winners’ and ‘losers’

In May 2021, Navya took to social media and shared a note, in which she explained the difference between ‘winners’ and ‘losers’. Her note reads, “If successful and unsuccessful people share the same goals, then the goal cannot be what differentiates the winners from losers.”

Navya’s epic reply to trolls

In an interview with Her Circle, Navya said, “I remember there was one specific comment that I got really upset about. I had given an interview about how my mom inspired me a lot because she is a working woman. Somebody commented, ‘but what does she do?’ My response to that was that she is a mother and that’s a full-time job itself. “

Navya on nani Jaya Bachchan

During the same interview, Navya also spoke about her nani Jaya Bachchan and called her “biggest source of inspiration.” She further added, “She is someone who has managed to create her own identity, leave her own mark. One of the biggest things I respect about her is how she uses her voice for things she is passionate about. She has always been very unapologetic, to the point, unfiltered, and she has a spine.”
