Donald Trump has implemented heavy tariffs on many countries worldwide, but he has a very crooked eye on China. This is the reason why Trump has imposed a 150 percent tariff on China. Due to this, Chinese products have become twice as expensive in America. In response, China is now focusing on strengthening its trade ties with India. Reflecting this shift, the Chinese Embassy in India has issued visas to 85,000 Indian citizens as of April 9 this year — a significant move aimed at enhancing people-to-people connections between the two nations.

China Issues 85 Thousand Visas To Indian Citizens

China’s Ambassador to India, Shu Fehong, mentioned that as of April 9, 2025, the Chinese Embassy had issued over 85,000 visas to Indian citizens.

He also mentioned that China looks forward to welcoming more Indian visitors to experience the country’s open, safe, vibrant, and friendly atmosphere, as per media reports.

China is working to attract Indian tourists by giving several concessions to Indian citizens. The Chinese government has allowed Indian applicants to submit their visa applications directly at the visa center on working days without needing an online appointment.

Additionally, those traveling to China for short stays are exempt from providing biometric data. The visa fee has also been reduced, making travel to China more affordable for Indians. China is promoting its cultural programs and major festivals to attract Indian tourists.

Donald Trump who aims to extend trade opportunities with India has imposed severe import taxes that reach 150 % against China. The Chinese government has decided to enhance its commercial commitments with India. The Chinese Embassy spokesperson Yu Jing declared that India-China commerce has developed through complementary benefits while demanding developing nations to join together against American trade abuses.
