Amaran Controversy: Student Sends Legal Notice Of Rs 1.1 Cr To Makers After Getting Endless Calls From Sai Pallavi’s Fans

‘Amaran’ has become the latest blockbuster in Tamil cinema and also received a good response from the audiences. The movie has now got involved in a controversy after a student from an engineering college sent a legal notice to the makers after getting numerous phone calls from Sai Pallavi’s fans. 

 

According to a report by The Hindi, a student named VV Vaageesan from Chennai sent a legal notice of Rs 1.1 crore after his phone number was shown in the film. In ‘Amaran’, Sai Pallavi’s character writes her phone number on a piece of paper and throws it towards Sivakarthikeyan. The phone number belongs to Vaageesan, who claimed that he got numerous calls after the film was released in theatres. He reportedly tried to solve the matter after sharing his problem on social media and also tagged director Rajkumar Periyasamy and Sivakarthikeyan. He sent the notice after his problem was not solved. 

‘Amaran’ is based on the true story of Major Mukund Varadarajan, who was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra. He was a commissioned officer in the Indian Army`s Rajput Regiment. Mukund showed courage during the counterterrorism operation in Jammu and Kashmir and passed away fighting the enemies. Major was posthumously awarded the Ashok Chakra.

The film also stars Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Shreekumar, Shyam Mohan, and Shyamaprasad in pivotal roles. The film is directed by Rajkumar Periasamy and produced under the banner Raaj Kamal Films International, which is owned by Kamal Haasan.  The music of the film has been given by G.V. Prakash Kumar, whereas, the cinematography has been done by C.H. Sai. On the editor’s chair is R. Kalaivanan.
