After a long wait, the trailer of Abhishek Bachchan’s Dasvi was released today by the makers on social media and in no time it went viral on the internet. Apart from fans, many celebs lauded the trailer and one of them was Ajay Devgn.
The Runway 34 star, who has always been a cheerleader for Abhishek Bachchan, shared the trailer of Dasvi on his Instagram account calling it ‘zabardast’.
Posting the promo, Ajay wrote, “Chaudhary saab @bachchan all the best for your #Dasvi Zabardast Trailer! Looking forward to watching the film on 7th April. #DasviTrailer out now.”
As soon as Ajay posted this trailer, we saw trolls targeting him for not sharing the promo of The Kashmir Files and showing his support towards the Anupam Kher starrer.
While a user wrote, “Sir the Kasmir file’s ka bhi tailor rakh lete achcha lagta…kya aap bhi unhi logo me ho kya,” another troll commented, “Kashmir Files ka trailer bhi share kar deta.” One insta-user wrote, “Let’s see if this film can tolerate and face competition with Kashmir Files.”
One troll took a dig at Runway 34 and commented, “Khud ki film aayi thi tab to history ka gyan pel rahe the or jab baat Asli History (KASHMIRI PANDIT) ki aayi to jikar hi nhi kiya dogla insaan,” while another user wrote, “Ham to bina mtlb aapki support karte h The kashmir files ka bhi support kar dete.”
Talking about The Kashmir Files, the film is based on the genocide of Kashmiri pandits during the Kashmir insurgency in 1990. It has been directed by Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri of Chocolate, The Tashkent Files, Hate Story and Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal fame.
Produced under the banner of Abhishek Agarwal Arts and Zee Studios, the film also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumaar, Pallavi Joshi, Mrinal Kulkarni, Puneet Issar, Prakash Belawadi and others in pivotal roles. The film is set to hit the Rs 200 crore club by tomorrow at the domestic box office.
On the other hand, Dasvi, which is helmed by Tushar Jalota, also stars Nimrat Kaur and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles. Produced under the banners of Maddock Films and Jio Studio, it will stream on Netflix and Jio Cinema on April 7.
