Ahead of elections, Arvind Kejriwal launches new campaign; offers Delhi-ites ‘golden opportunity’ to meet him

With Assembly elections fast approaching in several states, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has offered residents of the national capital a “golden opportunity” to meet and interact with him. The Aam Aadmi Party chief on Monday launched a fresh campaign, urging locals to share details about the work done by his government.

“Delhi people can make videos telling people of other states about work done by AAP and appeal to them to give Kejriwal and AAP a chance, ahead of polls. Upload these videos on social media,” he urged. Elaborating further, Kejriwal called upon Delhi-ites to “make videos of work done by Delhi Govt such as Schools, Hospitals, Zero Bills etc” and share it online.

Should their video go viral, the creators also stand a chance to meet their Chief Minister. “Make videos showcasing positive work done by Delhi Govt under the “Ek Mauka Kejriwal Ko” Campaign. Creators of top 50 videos will get the opportunity to personally meet AAP’s National Convenor over dinner!” the AAP Twitter handle added.

The AAP leader insisted that his party did not have crores of rupees to contest elections. The people of Delhi, he added, were his only wealth. “If you guys support us, the voice will go far,” he said.

Five states are slated to hold Assembly elections in the next two months, with results being declared on March 10. While the AAP is presently the principal Opposition party in Punjab, it is looking to increase its voteshare and come to power under the aegis of Bhagwant Mann. The Goa elections meanwhile will be fought with lawyer-turned-politician Amit Palekar as the Chief Ministerial candidate.
