Famous singer Adnan Sami has strongly responded to former Pakistani minister Fawad Chaudhry on social media who questioned whether he should be sent back to Pakistan. This happened after India’s Home Minister Amit Shah asked all state leaders to make sure no Pakistani citizens remain in India following the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam.

Fawad on X (formerly Twitter) asked, “What about Adnan Sami?” suggesting that the singer should also be included in those being sent back. Adnan Sami hit back with a sharp response “Who’s going to tell this illiterate idiot.” This exchange has caught attention online as Sami defended his status as an Indian citizen.

Fawad Chaudhry then took a dig at Adnan Sami and further responded with “Our very Own Lahori Adnan Sami aisay lag rahay hein jaisey Balooon se hawa nikal chuki hooo… get well soon” (Our very own Lahori Adnan Sami looks like all the air has gone out of a balloon… get well soon)

To which Adnan clapped back fiercely, saying “Even that you didn’t get right, you dumb ass. My roots are from Peshawar – not Lahore!! To think that you were Minister of (Mis)Information and have no knowledge about any information!!!!
Meri tho hawa nikal gayi – Tu abhi bhi balloon hai!
And you were Minister of Science? Was that the Science of BULLSH*T??
Now I know what the ‘CH’ in your name stands for!!!!”

Adnan Sami became an Indian citizen in 2016 after a long process. In a BBC interview he revealed that he felt threatened in Pakistan and was worried about his family’s safety there. After fighting a long battle with the Pakistani government, he applied for Indian citizenship and was granted it in 2016. Since then, he and his family have been living in Mumbai.

Adnan Sami has had a very successful music career. His first single “Run for His Life” became a number one hit on Middle Eastern music charts back in 1986. His popular songs such as “Tera Chehra,” “Lift Karadey,” “Tere Binam Teri Yaad,” “Mahiya,” “Baarish,” “Pal Do Pal” and many others that have been loved by the fans for years.
