Actor Vineet Kumar has witnessed a major transformation in his life following the success of Chhaava. The historical drama, which depicts the life and struggles of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, has struck a chord with audiences, earning widespread appreciation. Vineet, who portrays the role of poet Kavi Kalash in the film, believes Chhaava has been a turning point in his career.

In an exclusive interview with News24, Vineet expressed his overwhelming emotions. “It feels like a dream come true. For years, I kept believing that my big moment was around the corner, but it never quite materialised. Now, with Chhaava, it finally feels like it was all meant to happen at this time,” he said.

Although the team was confident in the film’s impact, Vineet admitted he never anticipated such a massive response. “We knew we were making something special, but I didn’t expect it to be such a huge hit. When I visit theatres, I see audiences embracing me as one of their own. Children rush to hug me, people hold my face with affection- this is a completely new experience for me,” he shared.

What’s Next For Vineet Kumar?

Vineet is currently occupied with multiple projects, including the upcoming release of Superboys of Malegaon on 28th February. “This has been the busiest phase of my life. I have barely slept four hours in the past few days due to non-stop shooting and promotions,” he revealed. He is also preparing for his next film, Jat, which is already in production.

The Impact Of Chhaava

Vineet knew from the start that Chhaava was special. “When I read the script, I realised the story would connect deeply with people. The emotional climax, particularly the bond between Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and Kavi Kalash, is powerful,” he explained.

Despite being in the film industry for over two decades, Vineet acknowledges that Chhaava has given him a unique experience unlike anything before. “Even when I played the lead in Mukkabaaz in 2017, I didn’t experience this kind of recognition,” he noted.
