‘Absolutely No Truth To Salman Khan Taking Over KBC’: Sources

The nation and its favourite gameshow host woke  to stories of Salman Khan taking over Kaun Banega Crorepati.

It sounded dodgy: KBC without Amitabh Bachchan is like Agra without the Taj Mahal.

A source very close to KBC said as much. “We have no clue where this is coming from. There is absolutely no truth to this (Salman being considered to replace Mr Bachchan in KBC). In fact, it is too ridiculous to even be dignified with a response. But since you are asking, I am giving you a rebuttal. Like I said, there is not even a shred of truth to this.”

The source further adds, “They tried another host, Shah Rukh Khan, for some time, do you remember? He was a massive failure. Shah Rukh admitted only Bachchan Saab could host KBC. As for this rumour, we can only laugh at people who spread these kinds of self-glorifying rumours. No, Mr Bachchan is not quitting KBC. And unless he quits, there is no question of a replacement.”
