The 2022 Assembly elections in Uttarakhand will be contested with the motto of ‘Abki Baar 60 Paar’, a vision the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has set to trump their 2017 performance when they won 57 out of the total 70 seats.

Much to everyone’s expectations, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami will contest from his home constituency of Khatima in Udham Singh Nagar district of the Himalayan state.

“I will contest the election from the Khatima constituency. We all are together and ready to contest polls. This time, we have given a slogan ‘Abki Baar 60 Paar’. The candidates list will be announced soon,” Dhami said after the BJP Core Committee meeting

The ruling BJP is likely to release its election manifesto for the 2022 Uttarakhand Assembly polls around January 25, in which women and youth will likely be in focus.

According to sources, the BJP is preparing the manifesto keeping all sections of the society in mind, including subjects such as women, youth, farmers, employment, agriculture and tourism.

The manifesto is coming up on the theme of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Vikas’.

Till now, four meetings of the manifesto have been held, according to news agency ANI.

“Most of the work of the manifesto which was presented in the last assembly elections has been done. Now, the party is preparing this manifesto keeping in the current circumstances. So that by choosing the right issues, they can win the election,” sources said.
