‘A Knock To Remember’ – Sachin Tendulkar Goes Gaga Over Nitish Kumar Reddy

The main highlight of the IND vs AUS 4th Test Day 3 was Indian all-rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy’s hundred. Reddy remained unbeaten for 105 runs from 176 balls and led Team India’s fight. From 191/6, the latter showcased brilliant gameplay and presence of mind which led India to finish Day 3 of Melbourne Test at 358/9. The latter added 127 runs from 285 balls for the eighth wicket along with Washington Sundar. It was an emotional moment for Reddy’s father as well who was present at the MCG to witness the iconic moment.

Sachin Tendulkar Heaps Praise On Nitish Kumar Reddy

Legendary Indian batter Sachin Tendulkar shared a post on his official ‘X’ handle and heaped praise for Nitish Kumar Reddy and Washington Sundar. Tendulkar stated that it was a spectacular knock from Reddy and lauded the temperament shown by the Indian all-rounder. Master Blaster also hailed efforts from Washington Sundar. The post read, “A knock to remember by Nitish. He has impressed me right from the 1st Test and his composure and temperament have been on display right through. Today he took it a notch higher to play a crucial innings in this series. Wonderfully and ably supported by Washington Sundar as well. Well played!.”

India will be looking forward to scoring as many runs as they can on Day 4 of the IND vs AUS 4th Test. The Indian team currently trails by 116 runs in the first innings and all the onus will be on Nitish Kumar Reddy. The latter is known for his aggressive stroke play and with just one wicket left he will look to slog the Australian bowlers and put the momentum back in favour of the Indian team.
