The ‘Spider-Verse’ franchise is considered one of the best animated superhero films and its first film ‘Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse’ also won the Oscars. With the grand success of the second film ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse’ and its major cliffhanger, fans are eagerly waiting for its next film. However, the latest buzz about the release date of ‘Spider-Man Beyond The Spider-Verse’ seems disappointing.
Spider-Man Beyond The Spider-Verse Release Date Update:
According to a report by Deadline, Sony Pictures Animation has no plans of releasing ‘Spider-Man Beyond The Spider-Verse’ in 2025. The makers are currently working on the quality of the film as its animation is well praised. The movie is expected to hit the theatres in 2026.
The movie stars Shameik Moore as Miles Morales. Hailee Steinfeld, Brian Tyree Henry, Lauren Vélez, Jake Johnson, Jason Schwartzman, Issa Rae, Karan Soni, Shea Whigham, Greta Lee, Daniel Kaluuya, Mahershala Ali, and Oscar Isaac are the other popular actors, who lent their voices to the different characters.
Indian Spider-Man aka Pavitr Prabhakar was also introduced in ‘Spider-Man Across The Spider Verse’ with Karan Soni giving his voice to the character. Meanwhile, cricketer Shubhman Gill was the voice of Pavitr in the Hindi dubbing. Pavitr is also an alternate version of Spider-Man, who lives in Mumbattan and soon develops a good friendship with Miles and Gwen.
Meanwhile, the movie ended on a big cliffhanger as the audience witnessed an alternate version of Miles and other Spider-Men coming together to rescue him.
‘Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse’ won the Best Animated Feature at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, Annie Awards, and Producers Guild of America Awards. It also received nominations at the Golden Globe Awards, BAFTA Awards, and Academy Awards. The movie lost its Oscar to the Japanese film ‘The Boy And The Heron’.
