IND Vs NZ: Team India Crumbles To Lowest Total At Home With 5 Ducks

Rohit Sharma and Co. have found themselves in huge trouble as they were bundled up at a mere total of 46 runs. Despite the first day witnessing a complete washout the weather gods played in favour and both the team captains came in for the toss. Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first. This decision completely backfired for the Indian Team as the batting order completely collapsed.

Five Ducks For Team India

India’s batting lineup looked in a very weak position as from marquee to young players all of them fell victim to New Zealand’s lethal bowling. It was surprising to see that five batters fell for ducks which left India struggling.

Virat Kohli

Sarfaraz Khan

KL Rahul

Ravindra Jadeja

Ravichandran Ashwin

Matt Henry and William O’Rourke were the two bowlers who had sent these batters for duck.

India Registers An Unwanted Record

This is Team India’s lowest total since the last match against West Indies where India was all-out at a mere score of 75. Rishabh Pant (20) and Yashavi Jaiswal (13) were the only two batters who scored in double digits.

The very first delivery of the second session was a shocker for Team India as Matt Henry caught Ravichandran Ashwin for a duck. Matt Henry has done wonders for the New Zealand team as he also sent back Rishabh Pant (20) and Ravindra Jadeja (0).

Talking about the pitch, then it has definitely given an edge and support to the fast bowlers. Matt Henry and William O’Rourke have been the key players to completely dismantle India.
