‘They’ve Made A Mistake’, Sanjay Dutt Breaks Silence On Exit From Son Of Sardaar 2

Actor Sanjay Dutt, who was slated to feature in the upcoming film Son of Sardaar 2, has been removed from the project due to the rejection of his UK visa. The visa issue has sparked controversy, with Dutt criticizing the decision as unjust and questioning the UK government’s actions.

‘Who Is Going To UK…’ Says Sanjay Dutt Amid Visa Controversy

In an interview with Bombay Times, Sanjay Dutt expressed his discontent with the handling of his visa application. “I know one thing that the UK government did not do the right thing. They gave me the visa initially,” he stated.

Dutt elaborated that all payments for the project were completed in the UK, and preparations were in place before the visa was canceled a month later. “Why did you give me the visa in the first place? You shouldn’t have issued it if there were issues,” he questioned. Dutt also expressed skepticism about the timing of the visa revocation, wondering why it took a month for the government to realize the supposed issues with his application.

Dutt further remarked on the situation in the UK, noting ongoing unrest and referencing the Indian government’s advisory against travel to the country. “Anyway, who is going to the UK? There are so many riots happening there. Even the Indian government has issued a statement that you should not visit the UK,” he said. Despite his criticism, Dutt emphasized his respect for legal protocols and his commitment to abiding by the laws of any country he visits.

Sanjay Dutt On His Replacement In Son Of Sardar-2

Following the visa issue, actor Ravi Kishan has been cast as Dutt’s replacement in Son of Sardaar 2. When asked if he would make a special appearance in the film, Dutt replied he was unaware of any such plans. The sequel to the 2012 film Son of Sardaar stars Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur, with the shooting taking place in Scotland. Ajay Devgn and Sanjay Dutt were originally set to reprise their roles as Billu and Jassi, respectively.

A source informed Mid-Day that Dutt’s visa issues are not new. Despite multiple attempts to secure a UK visa, he had been unsuccessful since his arrest in 1993. The upcoming film would have marked his first visit to the UK. Upon discovering the visa rejection, Ajay Devgn’s team decided to replace Dutt with Ravi Kishan for the film.
