Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’s wedding celebrations are set to continue in London, as Mukesh Ambani has block-booked the seven-star Stoke Park hotel until September, according to The Sun.
The post-wedding festivities are expected to be attended by notable figures, including Prince Harry and former UK PM Boris Johnson, the British tabloid reported.
Anant Ambani, the younger son of Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani, married his longtime girlfriend Radhika Merchant in Mumbai on July 12. The extravagant wedding, featuring numerous pre-wedding events, reportedly cost $500 million.
Stoke Park, acquired by Reliance Industries in 2021 for £57 million, spans 300 acres in Buckinghamshire, outside London. The estate includes a mansion, golf courses, and tennis courts. Under the lease terms, the grade II-listed hotel must be used as a commercial property rather than a private residence, as noted by the Financial Times.
The hotel has been closed for renovations and remained inaccessible to the public, creating friction between the Ambani family and the local community. To navigate this, Mukesh Ambani has booked the entire venue for two months, instructing around 850 golf club members to avoid the club during this period.
A source told The Sun, ‘The Ambanis don’t do things by halves and thought nothing of booking the entire venue for two months. The cost is chicken feed to them. The bride, groom, and family will attend different parties planned between now and September.’
Security has been tightened, with expectations of high-profile guests like Boris Johnson, Tony and Cherie Blair, and possibly Prince Harry attending, the source added.
