The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released its sixth list of 20 candidates for the Gujarat Assembly elections, announcing names for seats including Surat, Junagarh among others.
In the sixth list, AAP has given tickets to Mahendra Navadiya from Surat North, Chetan Gajera from Junagadh, Parvat Vagodia from Santrampur, Sunit Gamit from Dang, Dinesh Munia from Dahod, Viral Panchal from Manjalpur, and Raju Marcha from Valsad.
Besides this, the AAP has fielded Ambabhai Patel from Rapar, Dalpat Bhatiya from Vadgam, Bhagat Patel from Mehsana, Chiragbhai Patel from Vijapur, Rupsinh Bhagoda from Bhiloda, Chunnibhai Patel from Bayad, Bhupat Bhayani from Visavadar, Alpesh Patel from Prantij, Vijay Patel from Ghatlodia.
Gajendra Singh has been fielded from Anklav, Manish Patel from Borsad, Amrishbhai Patel from Umreth, and Manubhai Patel from Kapadvanj.
So far, the Arvind Kejriwal-led party has announced 73 candidates for the upcoming polls. He has been aggressively campaigning in the state making five visits to the state in the month of August, and a two-day visit in September, making big poll promises, including free power, education and healthcare.
The elections in the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled Gujarat are due this year-end. While Election Commission has released the poll schedule for Himachal Pradesh, an announcement for Gujarat polls is awaited.
