Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya broke several hearts when they announced their separation in October 2021. The two celebs took to their respective social media handles to share a statement and inform fans about their decision to part ways. Their ardent fans were shocked to know about their split as Samantha and Chaitanya were considered one of the most loved couples in the Telugu film industry.
Sam and Chay, who tied the knot in 2017, often used to share romantic posts for each other when they were together. The Majili actress loved talking about Naga Chaitanya in her interviews. In an old interview, Samantha had praised Chay and said that he married her despite seeing her ‘horrible mistakes’.
Samantha, who appeared on the Telugu version of Feet Up With The Stars, told the host that Naga helped her make a phone call to her mom from the US as she didn’t have the money. She had called Chay ‘husband material’ while interacting with Lakshmi Manchu.
“Chay is completely husband material. He has seen me from nothing. I remember I didn’t have money to make a call to my mother from the US. I took his phone and made a call home. Chay has seen me from that to this, so how can it be anybody else, right? Anybody else only knows me halfway. As a human being also, he has seen me make the most horrible mistakes,” the Jaanu actress said on the talk show.
Last month, the Eega actress deleted the Instagram post, that she had shared to announce her split from Naga Chaitanya. Her decision to remove the statement from her Instagram handle even sparked speculations about their reunion.
In her post, the actress had requested the fans and media to support her and Naga Chaitanya and give privacy. “We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship which we believe will always hold a special bond between us,” a part of her statement read.
On the work front, Samantha Ruth Prabhu was seen last in a special dance number in Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa: The Rise. Her song Oo Antava Oo Oo Antava managed to create ripples on the internet.
Last year, the tinsel town diva made her digital debut with Manoj Bajpayee’s The Family Man. She earned critical acclaim for her performance as the main antagonist in the web series, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video.
Samantha has several interesting projects in her kitty including Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Shaakuntalam and Yashoda.
