Happy News for EXO fame Chen’s fans! The Korean singer and songwriter has become a father for the second time and his loyalists could not be happier. On Twitter, they are penning sweet notes for the papa bear who has welcomed his second child with his wife. The couple was blessed with their first child, a daughter, in April 2020. 

The happy news was confirmed by SM Entertainment in an official statement which could be read as: “It’s true that Chen’s wife recently gave birth to their second child.” For the unversed, SM Entertainment is a South Korean multinational entertainment company that represents EXO and other K-pop artists like Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, Red Velvet, NCT amongst others.

Speaking of Chen’s professional front, he is a member of the boy band EXO. Together, the boys have given hits like XOXO, The Countdown, Ex’Act, Don’t Fight The Feeling, Growl, Love Shot and more. 

Chen is currently in his mandatory military service for which he got enlisted six months after the birth of his first child. He is expected to be discharged from his duties in the spring of 2022 but no confirmation has been made as of yet.

And while he is away, fans have made sure they are welcoming his second child with love. One user wrote: “CONGRATULATIONS Jongdae and to his wife!! Their second child is already born!! Welcome to the world our 2nd baby from Chen!!” Another one penned: “Chen, now having both a spring girl and a winter baby Our Chen congratulations #EXO #CHEN”

Coming to his personal life, Chen got married to his girlfriend, a non-celebrity, whose identity remains private, in 2020. In the same year, on April 26, Chen and his wife welcomed their first child, a baby girl. They had announced their second pregnancy in November 2021, a year and a half after their first child’s birth.
