After securing a series victory by taking a 2-0 lead in the three-match series on Wednesday, Pakistan will look to complete a whitewash against West Indies when the two teams face each other in the final game of the series at the National Stadium in Karachi.
In the first game of the series, Pakistan registered a thumping 63-run with Mohammed Rizwan and Haider Ali scoring half-centuries for the hosts. With the ball, Mohammad Wasim was the star of the show with a four-wicket haul.
However, the second game was a much closer match as Pakistan won by just 9 runs. After winning the toss and batting first, Babar Azam & Co. put a total of 172 on the board. Rizwan was the top-scorer with a knock of 38 while Haider and Iftikhar Ahmed made 31 and 32 respectively. All-rounder Shadab Khan chipped in with a cameo of 28 in just 12 balls.
Brandon King kept the visitors alive in the game for a long while with an impressive knock of 67 in 43 balls but apart from a 13-ball 35 from Romario Shephard, he did not get support at the other end. Shaheen Shah Afridi took three wickets for the Men in Green while Mohammad Nazam, Mohammad Wasim, and Haris Rauf chipped in with two wickets each.
With the series won, Pakistan could look to make a few changes and test their bench strength ahead of the ODI series. Changes are expected in the bowling attack with Afridi, Rauf, and Shadab likely to be given a breather.
