Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath  performed ‘Jal Abhishek’ water of Kabul river sent by a girl from Afghanistan at Shree Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya.

The chief minister said that she sent the water as part of her rich religious feeling attached to the temple in Ayodhya. The water of the Kabul river was mixed with Gangajal and then poured at the Ram temple construction site as per Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s instructions, he added.

CM Yogi Adityanath also offered prayers to Ram Lalla at the temple site in Ayodhya.

“A girl from Afghanistan had sent water of the Kabul river to PM Modi to offer it at Shree Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya. Accordingly, I am going to Ayodhya to offer it to Lord Rama,” CM Adityanath said in Lucknow before leaving for Ayodhya earlier today.

“From that point of view, I am going there specifically to add that sentiment to this event (Deepotsav) as well,” he added.

Earlier today, Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi addressed the ‘Pratigya Rally’ in Gorakhpur, the home district of Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath.

Speaking at the rally, Priyanka alleged that the Yogi government is attacking the people on a daily basis, while the Dalits, minorities and others are being exploited in the state.

“Dalits, weavers, OBCs, the poor, minorities and Brahmins have been exploited. Ji is running the Govt against the teachings of Guru Gorakhnath. This Govt is attacking people on a daily basis,” she said.
