Talking about shattering quintessential norms, Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan was recently hailed online for an unconventional reason. Taking to Insta, the actor burst the general taboo of celebs only holidaying in the Maldives. While many stars love to jet off to the Maldives for a fun, beach holiday, the place has earned the title of Bollywood’s favourite destination. That’s the reason why many of us just presume celebs holidaying in the Maldives every time they share a beach picture. 

But going by Varun’s recent Insta story, the SOTY actor took a unique way to clarify that he is not in the Maldives. He shared a video of his breakfast in his Insta story and wrote “not in Maldives” with a smiley.

What makes him different from his contemporaries is the fact that despite being at the peak of his career, Varun decided to get married to his longtime girlfriend Natasha Dalal. Questioning why cinema halls are closed when everything else is open

At a time when India was recovering from the deadly second wave of coronavirus, the Maharashtra government decided to open all essential and non-essential shops including shopping malls. However, what remained close were cinema theatres, drama theatres and multiplexes.

Taking to his Insta story, Varun expressed his opinion on the film theatres ordered to remain shut in Maharashtra even as multiple other states ease the curbs. “Everything open but theatres remain shut?” he questioned followed by a sad emoji. Varun decided to speak up while other celebs chose to remain silent on the matter. 

On the work front, he will be next seen in Jug Jugg Jeeyo co-starring Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, and Kiara Advani. The actor also completed shooting for his movie Bhediya in Arunachal Pradesh alongside Kriti Sanon.
