M&M has set itself on a transformation journey and an aim to be back as an SUV Leader. Rajesh Jejurikar, ED, M&M told us in an exclusive interaction with the channel. “SUVs are our domain and we have to be on top of it of what we call a core SUV segment” says Rajesh Jejurikar. Adding onto the importance of the launch of the new XUV 7OO with the new brand identity , Rajesh says
“This launch is a part of brand transformation exercising that we are doing, the visual identity change will also lead to changes in our dealerships. Within the next 12 months we will see the visual identity transform.”
On the current portfolio and the sales with the new XUV 7OO, XUV 3OO, and THAR he said
“Have a very good portfolio, have the Z1O1 launch coming up in the next calendar year. We have a very strong offering. We’re very optimistic of our product offering.” “We want to be no 1 in the Core SUV space in the next few years. We won’t restrict ourselves too much in the SUV definition. “
M&M also has a strong pipeline in the days to come, both in the EV and SUV space. And the company believes that it has enough in the pipeline to take it to the top spot. “Will have 9 new products in the offering in the next 5 years. This will include a completely new electric vehicle, one will be EVs from the current SUV models and interesting variants from there.”
