The ninth installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme will be transferred on August 9, the central government announced on Tuesday. PM Kisan is a government initiative that provides enrolled beneficiary farmers Rs 6,000 annual financial support in three installments of 2,000 rupees each.

Between April and July, the first installment is credited, followed by the second installment between August and November, and the third installment between December and March. This scheme aims to supplement the financial needs of all landholding farmers’ families in procuring various inputs to ensure proper crop health and appropriate yields, commensurate with the anticipated farm income as well as for domestic needs.

Under this scheme, an amount of Rs 6,000 per year is released by the central government online directly into the bank accounts of the eligible farmers under Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode to over 14 crore farmers.

“As many as 68.76 crore transactions have been done under PM-KISAN scheme till the end of June this year. The number of total transactions made under the PM-KISAN Scheme till 30th June 2021 is 68,76,32,104 of which the total number of failed transactions is less than 1 per cent,” said agriculture minister Narendra Singh in the Lok Sabha last week.

Here’s how you can check PM Kisan Installment and status online:

1. How to check your PM Kisan Installment:

  • Visit https://pmkisan.gov.in/ and head to the ‘Farmer’s Corner Section’
  • Select the ‘Beneficiary Status’ option and the beneficiary can verify the status of their application here.
  • The farmer’s name will be on the list, along with the amount that will be credited to his or her registered bank account.
  • Click on ‘Get Data’ and go to Farmers’ Corner and press on the beneficiary list to see the ‘PM Kisan beneficiary list.’
  • Fill in your state, district, sub-district, block, and village details.
  • Choose ‘Get Report’ from the drop-down menu.

If you see ‘FTO is generated and Payment confirmation is pending’ then it means that your amount is being processed.

2. Steps to check status:

  • Go to PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana’s official website- pmkisan.gov.in and from the menu bar, click on ‘Farmer’s corner’.
  • Three options will appear on your screen (a) Aadhaar Number, (b) Account Number and (c) Mobile number. You can check the check of the payment by using any of the options.
  • After entering the Aadhaar number, account number or mobile number, you will need to click on the ‘Get Data’ option.
  • After clicking on the option, PM-Kisan status will display on your screen and you’ll get a list of all transactions.

It is worth adding that even though many farmers follow the government’s guidelines, their names appear on the list of recipients. Eligible farmers who do not get Rs 2,000 every four months can call at PM Kisan Helpline Number 011-24300606 to lodge a claim.
