Tokyo 2020 Olympics’ grand opening ceremony will take place on Friday and everyone in the country is cheering for team India. Recently, Bollywood star Akshay Kumar too turned into a cheerleader for the sportsmen and sportswomen taking part in different events.
He was nominated by Union Minister for Information and Broadcast and Youth Affairs & Sports Anurag Thakur. On the work front, the actor was last seen in the 2020 horror comedy film Laxmii. The film had an OTT release and also starred Kiara Advani in the lead role.
He will be next seen in the spy thriller film Bell Bottom. It is being directed by Ranjit M Tewari and produced by Pooja Entertainment and Emmay Entertainment. Apart from Akshay, it also stars Vaani Kapoor, Lara Dutta and Huma Qureshi in other prominent roles.
He is also awaiting the release of Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi. The is the fourth instalment of Shetty’s Cop Universe and stars Akshay Kumar as Anti-Terrorism Squad chief DCP Veer Sooryavanshi. Akshay will be reuniting with Katrina after 10 years for the film.
