Having been a part of films like My Name Is Khan, Rukh, Mom and more recently, The White Tiger, actor Adarsh Gourav is slowly and steadily carving his niche in the film industry. The actor, who hails from Jamshedpur, is all set to star in Hostel Daze 2, reprising the role of Ankit Pandey.

The show, which promises to be a lot of fun, has glimpses of the different themes it will touch upon. From heartbreaks to bunks to ragging, Hostel Daze 2‘s trailer shows it all. Asked if he’s ever been ragged in real life, Adarsh, in an exclusive interview with Times Now Digital, shares an anecdote from the time he first came to Mumbai.

The actor said that while he hasn’t really been ragged, people used to ask him to sing songs in zest because they were fascinated by his Jamshedpur Hindi dialect when he first came to Mumbai.

Recalling the incident, Adarsh said, “I’ve never been ragged really, but it was more like a fun thing. When I came to Bombay, because I used to speak in a different way, like my Hindi was not the Mumbai Hindi and it was the kind of Hindi that people speak in Jamshedpur, people were very fascinated with my language. And then I used to sing Bhojpuri songs for them. They would ask me to sing songs and I would gladly sing songs for them,” he said, adding, “I was having a lot of fun. People probably thought they were ragging me, but honestly, I was just having fun.”

The actor also talked at length about his upcoming Amazon Prime Video show Hostel Daze 2. Sharing that it was extremely fun to shoot with the cast and crew, Adarsh says that he wants people to have fun while watching the show. The series will start to stream on July 23, and Adarsh couldn’t be more excited to share their labour of love with fans.
