It is already known that Tollywood’s ace actress Samantha Akkineni is essaying a larger-than-life role in her upcoming movie Shaakuntalam. The mythological drama is being directed by Gunasekhar. But the interesting news is that stylish star of Tollywood Allu Arjun’s daughter Arha is all set to make her acting debut through the film.
Allu Arjun has confirmed this news via his latest tweet. Sharing on his Twitter handle, he wrote, “A proud moment for the Allu family to announce that the fourth generation, #AlluArha will be making her debut with #Shakuntalam movie. I want to thank @gunasekhar1 garu & @neelima_guna garu for giving my daughter this beautiful movie as her debut. I had an altogether different journey with @samantharuthprabhuoffl and am happy to watch Arha debut with her movie. My best wishes to the entire Cast & Crew of #Shakuntalam (Sic).”
Three generations of the Allu family have made a mark for themselves in Tollywood. Allu Aravind and Allu Arjun carry forward the legacy built by their father late Allu Ramalingaiah. Now, Allu Arha is the latest entry to the list.
Shakuntalam is a mythological drama based on a popular Indian play Shakuntala by Kalidasa. The flick has Samantha essaying the titular role of Shakuntala and Dev Mohan will be seen as King Dushyant. Gunasekhar is directing the movie and is also bankrolling the film under his home banner Gunaa Teamworks. Speaking about the plot, it is all about King Dushyanta and Shakuntala’s love story. But with a few unfortunate incidents, Dushyant returns to his Kingdom and forgets the past and his relation with Shakuntala. Later on, Shakuntala turns pregnant and gives birth to Prince Bharat. The music for the movie is being composed by Mani Sharma, while Sekhar V Joseph is handling the camera and Prawin Pudi is the editor.
