Sonu Sood has been making some note-worthy difference ever since the coronavirus crisis started in India last year. The Dabangg actor is working hard to provide help, in every way, to those affected by the deadly virus – from giving financial aid to helping migrant labourers reach home safely. Sonu has indeed become the real definition of a hero during the coronavirus pandemic.
In his recent tell-all interview with Times Now’s Navika Kumar, the 47-year-old actor shed light upon burning healthcare issues of the country, his take on acting and helping people, and more. Sonu also revealed how helping people in crisis is different from being a successful actor.
Answering how his life goals changed in the last year, Sonu said when he arrived in Mumbai right after completing engineering, he thought life is all about becoming a successful actor and doing ‘100-crore’ films.
“But then you get to save people’s lives and only then you realise everything that you were doing before is not worth it. I will be doing films even now par vo itna chhota hai inn cheezon ke samne ki aapne agar 100 films kari aur ek insaan ki jaan bachai, vo aapne jo 20 saal me kara hai vo chhota lagta hai,” he said.
This year, he has been constantly arranging and providing hospital beds and oxygen cylinders for people who are in need of it. Over the last year, Sonu received requests from people ranging from underprovided sections to those who come from an influential background.
Further in the interview, Sonu shared he has been receiving non-stop calls from people asking for ICU beds, oxygen cylinders and medicines. “Ye sab bhahut influential log the jinki bahot pahunch thi. Vo log hi itne helpless the. Jab aap doobne lagte hai to aap haath phelate hai sahare ke liye. Itne log doob rahe the harr roz.“
Sonu said that during these tough times, the migrant workers made him realise the real meaning of happiness. Sonu also suggested that all the political parties should stop the blame game and stay united at this time. “If I become a politician, boundaries will be set for my world,” he added.
