T Natarajan broke into the scene when he stunned one and all with his wicket-taking abilities and deadly yorkers in IPL 2020. Thus, he ended with 16 scalps — in as many matches — for the David Warner-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) franchise.
Soon, he featured in Team India across formats in their successful tour of Australia, where he debuted in every form of the game at the expense of injuries to key players during that time. However, all this came at a price for Natarajan, who missed out on going back home for the birth of his first-ever child.
Nonetheless, as life continues to be at its unpredictable best in Covid times, Natarajan is now at his hometown and spending quality time with his six-month-old daughter, Hanvika. As she turned six months, the India pacer shared a heartfelt post for her, reminiscing how he wasn’t there at the time of her birth but is lucky to be with her on her sixth-month anniversary.
Natarajan shared an emotional post on Twitter and wrote, “Hanvika – our little angel…when she was born against all my plans, I was unexpectedly far away in Australia…today she turns 6 months old and against all my plans, I am unexpectedly with her!
#life is unpredictable, these #moments are precious, #familytime is priceless.
Happy Half Birthday to our little princess – As her parents, it is our sincere desire that the world heals and gets better and better as she grows. #stayhome #staysafe
PS: Thank you http://dumelasports.com for the wonderful shirts to make the day memorable.”
Natarajan was last seen on the cricket field during the now-suspended IPL 14 edition. He featured in only two games for SRH before a knee injury led to his exit from the rest of the tournament. Due to the Covid cases among the eight IPL franchises, the tournament recently got suspended indefinitely on May 4 (Tuesday).
Had it been normal times — with IPL 14 still going on and Natarajan being fully-fit — the pacer wouldn’t have been able to spend time with his daughter.
