Bigg Boss 19 is shaking things up this year with a brand new format, launching first on JioCinema from August 30, and then airing on television 90 minutes later. This dual rollout reinforces the show’s growing OTT-first strategy.

According to SCREEN, host Salman Khan is likely to earn between Rs 120-Rs 150 crore for hosting the first 15 weeks of the season, which comes down to about Rs 8-Rs 10 crore per weekend. While the season is set to run for five months, Salman will host only the first three, after which guest hosts such as Farah Khan, Karan Johar, and Anil Kapoor are expected to step in, either individually or in rotation.

There’s been a lot of excitement around the new season of Bigg Boss, and fans are eager to know what’s in store from the return of the Secret Room to some new twists.

The Secret Room, once an important part of the show, is expected to make a comeback this season. Also, there’s a new twist in the nomination process this time: the audience will choose who gets nominated, and the housemates will have to fight to save themselves from getting evicted.

According to the insider page Bigg Boss Tak, the show will return with a fresh theme called “Rewind.” While full details haven’t been revealed yet, the name hints at a nostalgic vibe, with several popular old elements set to return.

The casting process is underway, with contracts being sent out and auditions progressing quickly. The season will reportedly feature 15 initial contestants and 3–5 wild card entries. Some of the tentative contestants approached so far include, Lataa Saberwal, Ashish Vidyarthi, Ram Kapoor, Gautami Kapoor, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Alisha Panwar, Munmun Dutta, Anita Hassanandani, Khushi Dubey, Gaurav Taneja, Apoorva Mukhija, Chinki Minki, Purav Jha, Krishna Shroff, Mr Faisu, Kanika Mann, Raj Kundra, Daisy Shah, Arshifa Khan, Tanushree Dutta, Sharad Malhotra, Mamta Kulkarni, Paras Kalnawat and Mickey Makover.
