Salman Khan’s Bloodied, Intense Look From Battle Of Galwan Unveiled — And Fans Are Losing It!

After the lukewarm response to Sikandar, Salman Khan has bounced back with a powerful new announcement his next film titled Battle of Galwan. On July 4, the actor unveiled the first look poster on social media, where he appears in a bloodied, snow dusted uniform, gripping a barbed weapon, with a thick moustache.

The poster features a hard-hitting line, “Over 15,000 feet above sea level. India fought its most brutal battle without firing a single bullet.”

Set against the backdrop of the 2020 Galwan Valley clash, the film is inspired by the best-selling book India’s Most Fearless. Salman plays a commanding army officer, with the story highlighting India’s bravery in one of the most intense standoffs in recent military history.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia, the film also stars Zeyn Shaw, Ankur Bhatia, Harshil Shah, Heera Sohall, Abhilash Chaudhary, and Vipin Bhardwaj.

While the release date is yet to be confirmed, the film is slated to begin shooting from July 2025 and this marks a significant first for Salman, as he will portray an army officer in a full fledged role for the very first time in his career. Pinkvilla quoted the insider, “Apoorva Lakhia and Salman Khan are all set to start shooting for the film from July 2025. The film will be shot in Ladakh and Mumbai, over a period of 70-days starting July. It features Salman Khan as an army officer in a full fledged film for the first time in his career, and he will be joined by 3 other actors from the younger generation.”

The Galwan Valley clash in 2020 was a deadly confrontation between Indian and Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley, a disputed border region in Ladakh, India. The clash, which occurred on June 15, resulted in casualties on both sides marking the first fatalities in the Sino-Indian border conflict in nearly 45 years. The fighting involved hand-to-hand combat using sticks and stones, as firearms were prohibited in the area.
