Southern Israel’s Largest Hospital Hit By Iranian Missile In Direct Strike, PM Netanyahu Warns, ‘We Will Exact Full Price’

Amid escalating tensions between Israel and Iran, Israel’s Foreign Ministry on Thursday said that Soroka Hospital, located in Be’er Sheva, has suffered a direct hit. In a post on X, the Ministry stated, “BREAKING: A direct hit has been reported at Soroka Hospital in Beersheba, southern Israel. More details to follow.” The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) also confirmed that the largest hospital in southern Israel has been struck with a missile barrage.

In a statement on X, IDF said, “Several hits were identified as a result of the missile barrage–one of them hitting the largest hospital in southern Israel.” IDF previously shared the news, in which it mentioned that millions of Israeli people are running to take shelter after sirens were sounded following an Iranian missile launch.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took to his X, stating, “This morning, Iran’s terrorist tyrants launched missiles at Soroka Hospital in Beersheba and at a civilian population in the center of the country.” He further warned, “We will exact the full price from the tyrants in Tehran.”

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar shared a video of the assault, featuring the affected hospital. He wrote, “The Iranian regime fired a ballistic missile at a hospital. The Iranian regime deliberately targets civilians. The Iranian regime is committing war crimes. The Iranian regime has no red lines.” Additionally, the Iranian missiles have targeted multiple other locations in the country, including the city of Tel Aviv. The Israeli stock exchange building was also damaged by the missile, Al Jazeera reported.

The ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran has entered its seventh day. On Friday, June 13, 2025, the world was jolted with the news of the eruption of a new conflict zone. It started when Israel targeted nuclear and military sites in Iran with at least 200 fighter jets. Tensions escalated when Iran retaliated with airstrikes targeting Tel Aviv. While explosions were reported in Iran’s capital city, Tehran, air raid sirens were sounded in Israel’s capital, Jerusalem, and the city of Tel Aviv.
