Pakistan PM Shehbaz Sharif Admits BrahMos Blew It Up Before They Could Blink

Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has once again admitted that Indian missiles, especially the BrahMos, caught them off guard. While speaking at a trilateral summit (Pakistan-Turkiye-Azerbaijan) in Lachin, Azerbaijan, Sharif recounted how Indian strikes hit multiple areas in Pakistan before it could retaliate. He described how the BrahMos, a supersonic missile, struck an airport in Rawalpindi and foiled a planned countermeasure.

Shehbaz Sharif Admits BrahMos Hit Pakistan

Sharif revealed that he, along with Field Marshal and Army Chief Syed Asim Munir had planned to teach their enemy (India) a lesson on the night of May 9th and 10th night. However, before they could retaliate, India launched missile attacks and struck various provinces in Pakistan.

“We on 9th and 10th night we decided to respond in a measured fashion to Indian aggression,” he said. And we had decided that at 4:30 in the morning after Fajr prayers, Pakistan armed forces led very ably by our Field Marshal Chief Army Staff sitting here, Syed Asam Munir to teach a lesson to our enemy. But before that hour reached India again launched missile attacks, BrahMos and hit Pakistan’s various provinces including airport in Rawalpindi and other places.” said Sharif.

This is not the first time that Sharif has admitted to have suffered damages caused by Indian strikes. Earlier, he said, “At around 2.30am on May 10, General Syed Asim Munir called me on secure line and informed me that India’s ballistic missiles have hit Nur Khan Airbase and other areas.”

While Sharif is trying hard to gain sympathy and support from countries following India’s Operation Sindoor, he must understand that this only exposes his hypocrisy. Pakistan had earlier declared victory in a war that never actually happened, then denied damages it suffered and made false claims of shooting down Indian fighter jets and inflicting major damage. However, his recent confession, admitting to the fact that Pakistan was, in fact, hit hard is nothing short of baffling.
