Anant Ambani is set to become whole-time director at his father, Mukesh Ambani‘s company Reliance Industries. The company has appointed Anant in this role for a term of five years, effective from May 1, 2025.
“The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held today, on the recommendation of the Human Resources, Nomination and Remuneration Committee, considered and appointed Shri Anant M. Ambani (DIN: 07945702), a Non-Executive Director of the Company, as Whole-time Director designated as Executive Director of the Company,” said the company, in an exchange filing on Friday, April 25, 2025.
Anant Ambani has been in the position of a non-executive director on Reliance’s board, prior to this newly appointed role.
Apart from this, Anant also serves on the boards of various Reliance group companies, including Jio Platforms, Reliance Retail Ventures, Reliance New Energy, and Reliance New Solar Energy. He is also a board member of Reliance Foundation since September 2022 and has been a key man behind Vantara, world’s largest animal rescue and rehabilitation centre.
Meanwhile, Anant’s sibling, Akash, is the chairman of Reliance Jio Infocomm and a non-executive director on the Reliance Board. His sister Isha is an executive director at Reliance Retail Ventures and also a non-executive director on the Reliance Board.
