It’s been nearly 14 years since Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara (ZNMD) released, but the love for the film hasn’t faded. The 2011 hit, known for its friendship, beautiful locations, and life changing messages, became a favorite for an entire generation.
Now in 2025, fans might finally have something to look forward to. Hrithik Roshan, who played one of the lead roles, has hinted that a part two could happen.
In a Rangotsav event in Atlanta, United States on April 4, where he spoke about the enduring legacy of Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was asked to describe the film in a single word, Hrithik said, “I’ll describe it in five words. It’s really ‘Freedom from the shatters of the mind’ That’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.”
Followed by the most anticipated question that if there would be a ZNMD sequel. He smiled and said, “Meri jo instincts hain, woh keh rahi hain ki aisa hoga. Kab hoga, pata nahi, but hoga.” (My instincts are telling me it will happen. I don’t know when, but it will.) This was enough to send ripples of excitement through social media.
ZNMD, directed by Zoya Akhtar, starred Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif, and Kalki Koechlin. It followed three friends on a soul-searching trip through Spain, facing fears and rediscovering life.
