Batting legend Sachin Tendulkar praised Afghanistan on Thursday for their impressive win against England in the Champions Trophy, stating that such victories can no longer be considered upsets due to their increasing frequency.

On Wednesday, star opener Ibrahim Zadran played a brilliant knock to help Afghanistan set a massive total of 325/7.

Zadran’s majestic 177 and pacer Azmatullah Omarzai’s five-wicket haul led Afghanistan to a thrilling 8-run victory over England, despite Joe Root’s masterful century.

“Afghanistan’s steady and consistent rise in international cricket has been inspiring! You can’t term their wins as upsets any more, they’ve made this a habit now,” Tendulkar tweeted on Thursday.
