Mukesh Ambani And Gautam Adani Unveil Rs 50,000 Crore Investment Plan For Assam – Which Sectors Will They Invest In?

Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, and Mukesh Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Industries, addressed the ‘Advantage Assam 2.0 – Investment and Infrastructure Summit 2025’ in Guwahati today, February 25. During their address, both billionaires praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision. Both business leaders committed Rs 50,000-50,000 crores investment in the state.

During his address Gautam Adani said, “I announce today, the Adani Group’s commitment to invest Rs 50,000 crores in Assam.” Meanwhile, Mukesh Ambani, said, “At the 2018 investment summit, I announced an investment of Rs 5,000 crore. Since then, the investments have crossed Rs 12,000 crore. This amount will quadruple and we will invest Rs 50,000 crore in the next five years.”

Both billionaires also picked their priority sectors for investment.

Which Sectors Will Mukesh Ambani And Gautam Adani Invest In?

Gautam Adani said that the Adani Group will invest in sectors like airports, aero-cities, city gas distributions, transmissions, cement, and road projects. “Our investment will span across airports, aero-cities, city gas distributions, transmissions, cement, and road projects,” announced Adani.

Meanwhile, Mukesh Ambani listed his 5 priorities, namely: Assam Tech-Ready and AI-Ready, to make Assam a hub of clean and green energy, to help Assam become a major supplier of food and non-food consumer products to national and international markets, to double the number of Reliance Retail stores in the state, and to boost high-end hotel and hospitality economy in Assam.

Ambani said, “After building world-class connectivity infrastructure (for Jio), we will now install high-performance computing infrastructure. Reliance will establish an AI-ready Data Center in Assam, which will benefit students with AI-assisted TEACHERS, Patients with AI-assisted DOCTORS, Agriculture will benefit from AI-assisted FARMERS, and AI will help Assam’s youth to learn from home and earn from home.”

He said, “Reliance will build two world-class hubs of Compressed Biogas (CBG) over wastelands in Assam.” Ambani further stated, “We will set up a Mega Food Park, which will add value to the abundant agricultural and horticultural produce of Assam.” Reliance will also double the number of Reliance Retail stores in the state from existing 400 to 800 stores in the next five years, said Ambani. “Reliance will build a luxurious, seven-star Oberoi hotel in the heart of Assam,” he added.
