Champions Trophy 2025: BCCI Vs PCB Again? Fresh New Controversy Unfolds After India Refuses To…

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is left fuming after a fresh new controversy related to Champions Trophy 2025. India has reportedly objected to get the name of host “Pakistan” printed on the jersey. After a lot of debated it was settled that a hybrid model will be followed in India-Pakistan matches. This decision was taken after India refused to travel to Pakistan following security concerns and political tensions.

News agency, IANS in conversation with PCB official again targeted BCCI for bringing ‘politics in cricket’ by refusing to get the name of Pakistan printed on the jersey. Earlier it was reported that India’s cricket board refused to send Rohit Sharma in the opening ceremony of Champions Trophy which will be held in Pakistan.

“BCCI is bringing politics into cricket, which is not at all good for the game. They refused to travel to Pakistan. They don’t want to send their captain (to Pakistan) for the opening ceremony, now there are reports that they don’t want the host nation’s (Pakistan) name printed on their jersey. We believe that the world governing body (ICC) will not let this happen and support Pakistan,” the PCB official, on condition of anonymity, told the agency.

The Champions Trophy will be starting from February 19 and India will be playing their first match against Bangladesh on February 20. With a fresh new controversy that is ignited now the tensions between BCCI and PCB are again on the rise.
