BIG Move By Bangladesh’s Muhammad Yunus Govt, Sends Top General To Pakistan For..

The government of Bangladesh, under Muhammad Yunus, has sent its top Army official to Pakistan. Bangladesh and Pakistan have been swiftly engaging in defense agreements over the past few months. Bangladesh’s Armed Forces Division’s top Principal Staff Officer, Lt. Gen. SM Kamrul Hassan, met Pakistan’s Army Chief, Gen. Asim Munir, in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

Pakistan’s Army media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations, shared information about the meeting between the two top generals. It was reportedly stated that Pakistan and Bangladesh have agreed to focus on their mutual interests and make their cooperation more flexible. The two countries have also decided to explore ways to establish more bilateral defense agreements in the future.

During the meeting, the Bangladesh’s top general showered praise on Pakistan’s Army which was unusual as the people of Bangladesh still have not forgotten the atrocities of Pakistan’s Army, but it seems that the Yunus government wants to avoid the chapter and wants to give a new start.

After former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s ousting from power, Bangladesh’s interim government is leaning towards Pakistan. Sheikh Hasina was forced to leave the country on August 5 after a violent protest by students erupted in the country.
