You won’t be able to finish me: Devendra Fadnavis hits back at Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray

 Maharashtra deputy chief minister Devendra fadnavis  slammed Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray and said that he came to power by showing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s photo in the 2019 Maharashtra Assembly elections. Alleging that the Shiv Sena ‘backstabbed’ the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and went with Congress and the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Fadnavis said that the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) tried their best to ‘finish him’.
“In 2019 polls, you (Uddhav Thackeray) came (to power) by showing PM Modi’s photo; backstabbed BJP & went with Congress & NCP. You, along with Congress, NCP, tried your best to finish me, you could not finish me then and won’t be able to do it later,” Fadnavis said.
Fadnavis’ allegations come a day after Uddhav Thackeray lashed out at the BJP and said the those who are trying to finish the Shiv Sena will be finished. Addressing a gathering of Shiv Sena group leaders from Mumbai, Thackaray claimed that the BMC elections will be Devendra fadnavis’ ‘last polls’.

He also challenged Home Minister Amit Shah and dared him to hold the BMC elections within a month. The ongoing war of words between Shiv Sena and BJP comes days after the Vedanta Foxconn semiconductor project – valued at a whopping Rs 1.5 lakh crore moved out of Maharashtra and went to Gujarat’. The Shiv Sena chief slammed the Eknath Shinde government in Maharashtra and said that his party was willing to go to Gujarat to get the project back to Maharashtra. He also accused the Centre of ‘lying’ to the people of Maharashtra while talking away their jobs.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday reached Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking to reporters, he said that the people, who are calling his group ‘betrayers’ are the ones who ‘shortchanged’ the ideals of Balasaheb Thackeray.
