WWE’s Paul Heyman drops ‘tweet bomb’ on Diwali, claims Virat Kohli acknowledged Roman Reigns after Ind-Pak tie

Did Virat Kohli acknowledge Tribal Chief Roman Reigns after his match-winning knock against Pakistan? Paul Heyman, the special counsel to Reigns, thinks so. On the occasion of Diwali, Heyman dropped a Tweet bomb and claimed that the former India captain acknowledged the Undisputed Universal Champion in front of the world.
“Happy #Diwali Everyone! #WWEkiDiwali. It is with great honor that I, #SpecialCounsel and #Wiseman to the #Bloodline, accept the great @imVkohli’s celebration as – in front of the world – he decided to ACKNOWLEDGE OUR TRIBAL CHIEF @WWERomanReigns’!,” Heyman wrote on Twitter.
It is to be noted that Reigns and members of Bloodline raise their fingers when they enter any arena. The WWE Universe then raises its finger to acknowledge the Head of the Table. Kohli did the same while celebrating India’s win over Pakistan.
This isn’t the first time when Heyman has tagged a cricketer in his post. In 2019, the head honcho of ECW had asked for royalties from ICC for using his catchphrase to praise MS Dhoni. It was Heyman who coined the term: Eat, sleep, conquer, repeat for Brock Lesnar. The apex cricketing board used it for Dhoni.
Meanwhile, Heyman will next be seen on TV along with Reigns on this week’s Smackdown. The double champion is advertised for the October 28th show. WWE will tape two Smackdowns this week. After Smackdown, The Bloodline will also be on Raw.
Reigns is slated to defend his title against Logan Paul at Crown Jewel, which is scheduled to take place in Saudi Arabia on November 5.
As for Kohli, he will next be seen in action for Team India against Netherlands on October 27. The veteran batsman played a role in India’s win against Pakistan and will aim to continue his form. Riding on Kohli’s unbeaten 82, India chased down the target of 160 against Pakistan on the final delivery of the innings.
