In a blistering attack on the BJP and the Sangh Parivar, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said that the whole world knows about the Gandhi-Nehru family and the sacrifices they made for the country.
Branding the BJP and the RSS as ‘Godse bhakt’, Baghel said: “We don’t need a certificate about them from those who believe in Godse and Veer Savarkar.”
The people who used to lick the feet of the British will ask us questions, he said.
This remark from Baghel comes after the BJP attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his “fake Hindu party” statements.
On Wednesday, the Wayanad MP targeted the BJP and RSS, accusing them of using the Hindu religion for political benefit and doing “dalali” of the religion
While the BJP calls itself to be a Hindu party but in reality, they are fake Hindus, Rahul had said.
Reacting to this, BJP national general secretary Arun Singh said that Rahul Gandhi should not make these statements.
“He is totally disconnected from the ground and has no information,” he added.
Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Narottam Mishra said he was going to seek experts’ advice as to whether a criminal case should be registered against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over his remarks about the RSS.
Speaking to reporters, Mishra, who is also the spokesperson of the BJP government in the state, dubbed Rahul Gandhi as “an opportunist Hindu”.
“He wears ‘topi’ and ‘tika’ as per his convenience. He goes on religious tourism and after that, he talks like this,” the minister said.
Saying that it is difficult for Rahul to understand Sangh, Mishra took a swipe at Sonia Gandhi’s Italian ancestry.
“Some flaws linger when an organization and a person have foreign ancestry,” he added.
