At a time when President Donald Trump has warned India of reciprocal tariffs and complained that the US can not sell its cars due to high tariffs, his close confidante and an important member of his administration has announced to set up a factory in the country.
After Tesla announced to start hiring in India, signalling to open its EV factory, Donald Trump called it “unfair”.

Earlier, he said that it is “impossible” for Tesla to sell a car in India.
Slamming India for higher tariffs he said, “Every country in the world takes advantage of us, and they do it with tariffs… It is impossible to sell a car, practically, in, as an example, India.”
