The Punjab Police dismissed a woman constable in Bathinda after catching her with drugs. They arrested Amandeep Kaur on Wednesday evening with 17.71 grams of heroin as part of the state government’s ongoing anti-drug campaign, Yudh Nasheian Virudh (War Against Drugs). The police acted on a tip-off before arresting her. The police conducted a search of her vehicle and discovered heroin hidden inside a box attached to the car’s gearshift. Kaur was immediately detained, and her car was impounded.

Kaur, however, ignored this directive and continued to flaunt her uniform, expensive watches, branded handbags, and high-end vehicles in her posts. Some of her videos even mocked the police force, with lyrics that suggested corruption within the system.
According to Republic, one of Kaur’s reels shows her wearing a police uniform while standing next to a Mahindra Thar, with background lyrics referencing criminal activities and police complicity. This behavior, coupled with her arrest for possessing the drugs, led to her swift dismissal from the force under Article 311 of the Indian Constitution, which allows for the termination of a government employee’s service.
