Shah Rukh Khan, the King of Bollywood, the Badshah of the industry, the Rahul that every girl from the 90s wants, is nothing but an icon. He has given several powerful performances over his career of 26 years and he continues to win hearts. Given his larger-than-life celebrity status, one would think that SRK is a man who does not take no for an answer. But turns out, so is not the case. During an interaction, the actor had revealed that nobody really says yes to him, not even his son AbRam.
This was back in 2017 when Shah Rukh did a podcast special with AIB featuring Tanmay Bhatt, Rohan Joshi, Ashish Shakya and Gursimranjeet Khamba. Tanmay asked SRK how does he remain so self-aware when he is surrounded by people who say only yes to him.
The Pathan actor quickly clarified that he does not have anyone around him who says yes to him unnecessarily. He further added that even his son, AbRam, who was 3 years old at that time, does not say yes to him. He called AbRam “runt” and then asked the AIB team if that is a word that he can use for his son.
“I come from theatre where the first thing you are taught is how to fall on your own, get up, how to make fun of yourself and not take yourself seriously. The first thing is that the only person you are supposed to know is yourself” SRK had said. He shared that he knows his frailties, his own issues and that’s what makes him so self-aware.
Apart from SRK’s stellar acting abilities, he is a family man; SRK keeps his fam above everything else and he does not shy away from admitting the same. Time and again, the actor has opened up about being the best father and husband to his kiddos and wife Gauri.
Much recently, his family faced a tough time when Aryan Khan got arrested by NCB. The 23-year-old star kid was put behind the bars by the anti-drug agency after they raided a Goa-bound cruise ship. Aryan is currently out on bail. When he was released from Arthur Road Jail, SRK had decorated his house Mannat to welcome him home.
