Rumours are rife that Indian Tennis superstar Sania Mirza and former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik’s marriage has hit rock bottom. The much-loved couple is going through issues and has allegedly been living separately. Recently, Sania’s Instagram post only added fuel to the speculations around their divorce. Her cryptic post read, “Where do broken hearts go. To find Allah”.
While the couple is yet to share an official statement and confirm the separation, they have been sharing subtle hints on social media. The high-profile celebrities got married in 2010 in a lavish wedding ceremony in Hyderabad. They welcomed son Izhaan Mirza Mallik in 2018.
This is not the first time the tennis star’s personal life is in the news. Before Sania tied the knot with the Pak cricketer, she was rumoured to be dating Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor. Reports of their romance had set tongues wagging even though the couple never confirmed the speculations.
During her appearance on Karan Johar’s talk show Koffee With Karan: Season 5, Sania had addressed the rumours. Here’s what she had to say!
When Karan asked Sania, “How come you have not been approached by any Hindi film boys?” She replied, “That this never happened to me.” The host further asked, “There were some rumours about you and Shahid, were those true?” Sania had an interetsing reply. “I can’t remember it was so long ago. It never happened as I travel so much,” she said.
During the rapid-fire, when she was asked who would she kill, marry and hook up between Shahid, Ranveer Singh and Ranbir Kapoor. She said that she would hook up with Ranveer, marry Ranbir and ‘kill’ Shahid.
