They were reportedly in a relationship with each other, but they couldn’t get married as Big B was already married to actress Jaya Bachchan. Their alleged affair didn’t last for a long time, however, Rekha still remained single and never missed a chance to hint about her love for Amitabh Bachchan.
When Rekha confessed she was in love with Amitabh Bachchan
20 years ago, Rekha appeared on the show Rendezvous with Simi Garewal, hosted by the Karz actress. During her candid conversation with the Silsila star, Simi asked her if she had ever been in love with Big B.
Interestingly, Rekha confessed her love for Amitabh Bachchan. She said, “Absolutely. Duh, that’s a dumb question. I have yet to come across a single man, woman, child who can help but fall completely, passionately, insanely, desperately, hopelessly in love with him. So why should I be singled out? What do I deny? I’m not in love with him? Of course I am. Duniya bhar ka love aap le lijiyega and add some more – I feel that for that person. Bottomline.”
