When Kangana Ranaut called former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray ‘the worst product of nepotism’

Kangana Ranaut has always been making headlines with her opinions on several issues that happen in the country. In 2020, the actress had a conflict with the former Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray.
Recently, Kangana Ranaut expressed her desire to contest the election in Himachal Pradesh from the Mandi constituency. She will reportedly be the leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party aka BJP.
When asked about joining politics at an AajTak conclave, Kangana said, “Whatever will be the situation… If the government wants my participation, then I will be very much open to all kinds of participation… It will be my honour if the people of Himachal Pradesh or the party wants me to contest; I will have no problem. So, definitely, it will be my good luck.”
Ever since Kangana Ranaut spoke about her political aspiration, fans are waiting to see her as a political leader. Coming back to her conflict with Uddhav Thackeray, the actress had once called him ‘the worst product of nepotism’. For the unversed, Uddhav Thackeray is the son of the late Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray.
On the occasion of Dussehra 2020, Uddhav Thackeray made several indirect references to Kangana Ranaut and criticised her for saying that Mumbai felt like Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and that she feared living in the city. Thackeray had told PTI, “People who have no means of livelihood in their home come to Mumbai and betray it. Calling Mumbai PoK [Pakistan-occupied Kashmir] is in fact the failure of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He had said he would get back PoK into India.”
Uddhav’s statements didn’t go down well with Kangana Ranaut as she shared a series of tweets and a video on Twitter. In the video, she said, “Shame on you, I am your son’s age. This is how you speak to a self-made single woman. Chief minister, you are the worse product of nepotism.”
She also took a dig at former Congress chief Sonia Gandhi, by stating, “You were very angry with me when I compared Mumbai with [Pok] after I was threatened because slogans of ‘Free Kashmir’ were raised there. Your ‘Sonia Sena’ had defended all that, that’s why I had compared it with PoK.”
For the unversed, Shiv Sena-led BMC had taken an action against Kangana Ranaut’s production house for illegal construction. They had even carried out a demolition drive. However, the Bombay High Court ordered a stay on BMC’s move later.
After seeing many controversies about Kangana Ranaut, her fans and followers are waiting for her official announcement of joining politics. Talking about her next project, the actress will be seen playing late Prime Minister of India, Indira Gandhi in the film, Emergency.
