What’s cooking? Chennai Super Kings unfollow Ravindra Jadeja on Instagram: Report

Is everything alright between Chennai Super Kings and Ravindra Jadeja. Though some dramatic decisions have been taken at CSK, especially pertaining to the captaincy in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 season, it is now being reported that the relationship dynamics between the player and the franchise’s bosses are also strained.
From being appointed as the team’s captain just days ahead of the start of the new season to getting replaced by MS Dhoni after 8 games, Jadeja has had quite a roller-coaster of a ride this season for the Super Kings. The fact that he is now out for the remainder of the season due to a rib injury, is also a development that seems a little fishy.
On top of that, it has now also been reported that Jadeja has been unfollowed by the official Instagram account of Chennai Super Kings. This is the sort of development that is bound to unnerve the franchise’s fans, especially in the middle of a horror season that the team is going through.
Fans have been quick to highlight the same on social media. Here are some screenshots and reactions to the development from the Twitterverse:
Rumours of a rift between Jadeja and CSK have also been floating, in the wake of the entire captaincy saga that took place at the franchise this season. It has been reported by Indian Express that the all-rounder wasn’t happy with the captaincy change process.
When CSK CEO Kasi Viswanathan was asked about the same, he rubbished the talk while also confirming that Jadeja will remain with the franchise beyond this season.
“Social media, I absolutely do not follow anything. I have no knowledge of what is going on there. What I can tell you is that from the management side, there has been no problem and whatever is there on social media, I’m not aware. Jadeja firmly remains in the CSK’s scheme of things for the future, always,” he said.
Kasi said that the player has been ruled out of the season following medical advice after he had injured his rib against Royal Challengers Bangalore.
“Jaddu had an injury during the game against RCB and after that he didn’t play the game against Delhi Capitals. On medical advice, it has been decided that he cannot participate further in this IPL and he is heading back home. He has been released,” he revealed.
Without Jadeja, CSK’s chances of playoffs qualification will be hit further. The Yellow Army is presently loitering at 9th spot and even victories in the remaining three games wouldn’t guarantee them playoffs progression.
